Most water schemes involve mechanical plant as well as static structures. The plant can be a wastewater treatment process, a pumping installation or mechanical screens. Our work is mainly in the overlap between the world of the civil engineer where things generally stay put, and that of the mechanical engineer where things move. We employ staff qualified in both civil and mechanical engineering but most of us cover the whole range of structures, hydraulics and plant installation.
We carry out design work on the following as part of our water and effluent treatment schemes:
In many schemes, the process and plant installations lead the design, with the civil engineering supporting the plant and keeping the rain off. We integrate the civil and mechanical processes to create an complete system.
